We start with the idea you want to make into a television show and pressure-test the pieces that have to hold: premise, character, world, tone, engine, and structure. From there, the class moves into breaking and drafting the pilot, with live discussion and direct feedback throughout.
The goal is a stronger series concept, a clearer plan for the pilot, and pages that reflect what makes your project distinct.
Premise & Series Engine
Clarify what the show is, what keeps generating story, and why this version is worth making.
Character
Build characters with wants, contradictions, relationships, and enough pressure to sustain a series.
World & Tone
Define the rules of the world and the tonal lane the show needs to live in.
Pilot Story
Find the story that best introduces the series and forces the central characters into motion.
Structure & Outline
Break the episode, test turns and escalation, and build an outline you can actually draft from.
Drafting
Move into pages with a focus on scene purpose, dialogue, pace, and character behavior.
Workshop & Revision
Diagnose what the draft is doing, where it drifts, and what changes will produce the biggest gains.
The Next Draft
Leave with a concrete revision plan for the pilot and a clearer understanding of the series beyond it.
